To capture video:

1. Connect your DV camera to your computer using a FireWire cable.
2. Turn on your DV camera.
3. Launch the Capture Video module.
4. Define the Captured video settings (Read more).
5. Preview the video stored on your DV camera to choose a video fragment to be captured (Read more).
6. Having chosen a video fragment, click Start Capture.
7. Click Stop Capture to stop the capturing process.

The captured video will be saved in the defined folder in the DV-AVI format.

Note: if you capture several video fragments while previewing your DV cassette, you create and save several detached DV-AVI files.
