The Auto Contrast filter automatically calculates the best contrast for the frame. It enhances highlights and shadows, making the dark parts of the frames darker, and the light ones lighter. It adjusts the entire movie using histograms of every individual frame.
Auto Contrast can drastically improve the appearance of the movie. In combination with the Auto Levels filter, it significantly brightens the video stream.

To apply the filter:
Select the Easy Fix tab:
Double click the icon of the filter:

Retaining the icon of the filter, drag and drop it into the Preview area.
The Auto Contrast filter adjusts contrast of the movie automatically, and it does not have customize options.
