AMD Hardware acceleration

If you have one of the latest AMD graphics cards, you can use its graphics processing power for converting videos. Using the graphics card instead of the processor leaves your CPU free for other tasks, and you can use your computer without stuttering while converting videos.

AMD hardware acceleration

  • Accelerates video processing by up to 2,5x when converting to H.264 video codec for heavy files.
  • This option is only available if your computer is equipped with an AMD graphics card that supports the Video Coding Engine technology.
  • Look for presets marked with the AMD Video Coding Engine badge when choosing an output format.

Compatible graphics cards

When using the H.264 codec, acceleration will work with graphics cards released after April 2014.
