Intel Hardware acceleration

If you have one of the latest Intel processors, you can use the built-in graphics chip to accelerate conversion of H.264 and MPEG-2 video.

Compatible processors
Intel hardware acceleration is available on Intel® Core™ i3, i5, and i7 processor series. For a full list of processors that support integrated graphics, please consult the Intel support center.

How to use Intel acceleration
You can enjoy Intel acceleration when converting videos to H.264 and MPEG-2 codecs. When selecting an output format, choose formats and presets marked with the Intel® HD GRAPHICS badge. Conversion to these output formats will be accelerated.
Troubleshooting:
Can't enable Intel hardware acceleration
If the Intel hardware acceleration option in Movavi Video Converter Premium preferences is unavailable:
  • Check that your processor is compatible with Intel hardware acceleration. To do that, open the Control Panel, go to System and Maintenance, and choose System. Find the processor information and make sure that you have an i3, i5, or i7 Intel processor.
  • Update the Intel processor drivers. You can find the newest version at Intel's official website here. We recommend only downloading drivers and other software from trusted sources.
  • In order for the graphics acceleration to work properly, there needs to be a monitor connected to the graphics card port. Connect the monitor and make sure it is functioning properly, then try enabling Intel® hardware acceleration again.

Problems while converting using Intel® hardware acceleration
If the video conversion process is taking longer than expected, or there are defects in the output video file:
  • Try updating the processor drivers. You can find the newest version at Intel's official website here.
  • Try disabling Intel acceleration in the preferences.
