Changing the format
New recordings are created in the MKV format which is supported by most players. This guide will show you how to save your video recordings in a different format.
Turn any video into an audio recording by saving it in an audio format. Easily watch videos on device if you save them to a device-ready format. Step 1: Open the output options
Click Save As to open the output options.
Step 2: Choose a new format
At the top of the output options window, select a format you want to use.
If you don't see the necessary format in the list:
1. Click More presets to open the full list of formats and presets.
2. At the top of the list, click the Video and audio tab.
3. Under General Video, choose the format you want to use.
Tip: you can use the search bar at the bottom of the list to find the necessary format.
Step 3: Name and location
Enter a name for your new file under File name. If you want to store the recording somewhere other than the default folder, click the ellipsis button

Finally, click Save to convert your recording to the selected format. This may take a while for large videos.
